Mrs. Martha Fent, 92, a resident of Grand Island for 65 years, died this morning at a local hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Geddes funeral home by the Rev. Wayne A. Dalton, pastor of the Baptist church. Burial will be at Grand Island cemetery.
Mrs. Fent was born Aug. 25, 1885, at Chariton, Ia., to Samuel and Susie Williams. She joined the Baptist church while at Chariton. She and W. F. Fent were married Mar. 19, 1875, at Corydon, Ia., and they moved to Grand Island in 1883. Mr. Fent died Dec. 24 (sic), 1910.
Surviving are two sons, O.V. Fent and C.P. Fent, both of Grand Island; two daughters, Mrs. C. G. Martin, Wheatland, Wyo., and Mrs. H. L. Perry, San Bernardino, Col.; 11 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, a daughter, three brothers and four sisters.
