Marjorie J. Artis, 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2012.

Memorial services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday December 20, 2012, at Windsor Heights Lutheran Church, 1240 66th Street, in Windsor Heights. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.

Marjorie was born in Westgate, Iowa, on June 26, 1918, the daughter of Adrian, and Maude (Whittenbaugh) Radamaker .She attended AIB for business.

Marge was involved in many civic activities, donating her time to Methodist Hospital gift shop for several years. Marge was a member of PEO, chapter GY, a longtime member of Windsor Heights Lutheran Church, and a member of Des Moines Golf and Country Club, She served on the board of directors and was a buyer for Artis Furniture Company until her retirement in 2005.

Marge is survived by her husband, Paul of 72 years; two sons, William Artis Sr. (Patty) of West. Des Moines, Greg Artis, (Susie) of Urbandale; Grandchildren, Beth, Bill Jr. and Jay Artis of Des Moines; Great-Grandchildren, Shey and Bo Buckley, Her Brother Dale Rademaker, Ann; Aunt, Margaret Hintz, of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian, and Maude Radamaker; Sisters: Elenor, Jeanie, Betty; and Brother, Adrian (Abe).
