Forrest Marcell Bond, 84, Skidmore, formerly of rural Graham, died Sunday, May 10, 1998, at Parkdale Manor, Maryville.

Born Jan. 21, 1914, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Henry Brantley and Anna May Westfall Bond, he was a farmer and employed by Lloyd Chain Company, Maryville, for 30 years.

He married Leona Eula Acklin May 3, 1947, in Graham.

Mr. Bond had been a resident of Skidmore since 1951 and a resident of Maryville for the past six years. He had served in the U.S. Army Tank Mechanic 89th Calvalry Unit in the European Theater during World War II. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Graham; and the Sam Albright American Legion Post #411, Skidmore.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lloyd R. Bond and Merrill I. Bond; and a sister, Irma Briggle.

Survivors include his wife, Leona of Skidmore; two sons, Burdette A. Bond of Graham, and Roger K. Bond of Whitehall, IL; two grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville, with Emmett Reed officiating.

Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, Graham.

Military services will be conducted at the gravesite by the Sam R. Albright American Legion Post #411, Skidmore.

Memorials may be made to the Maryville Public Library Fund.

Arrangements are under the direction of Price Funeral Home, Maryville.
