STATESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Camilla Woodcock Boyd, age 88, died Monday morning at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. The Bulloch County native resided in Savannah, Ga., before returning to Statesboro in 1956. She was the daughter of the late Brooks and Mattie Hendrix Woodcock. Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Statesboro First Baptist Church, where she taught primary children Sunday School for over 25 years, and was a member of the Camilla Boyd Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Magnolia Garden Club, where she served as president for many years.
Surviving are a brother, Billy Woodcock of Statesboro; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Statesboro First Baptist Church with Dr. John Waters and the Rev. Ted Page officiating. Interment will be in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Don Woodcock, Tim Burnsed, Jamie Kreyenbuh, Don Tillery, Judd Tillery, Greg Anderson, Charles Altman and Bill Green.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Camilla Boyd Sunday School Class and the Magnolia Garden Club.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, Ga. 30459.
