Detlef Desler and Catharine Ohrt were married in Washington County, Nebraska on November 22, 1893 (Book 5, Page 162).
In 1900, the Desler family was living in Kennard, Washington, Nebraska. Catherine was then the mother of 5 children, two of whom, Katie and Richard, were deceased.
In addition to herself, Detlef, and children John, George, and Irene, other residents sharing the family home are Detlef's brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fred Ohrt (23, NE) and Mary (19/ NE). I have yet to determine if these two were Catharine's siblings, or her brother and his wife.
Also present is a servant, William Gudeker (23/Germany).
By 1910, Detlef, Catharina, and family have relocated to Richland, Washington, Nebraska. Son, George, has left the family home, but the Desler's were blessed with 4 additional children in the past 10 years; Arthur, Marie, (William) Henry, and Elmer.
The years 1920 and 1930 find Detlef and Catharine have relocated to Jefferson, Douglas, Nebraska. At various times throughout the years, their children have come and gone from the family home. Between 1920 and 1930, 4 more children were born; twin boys Royal and Raymond, and daughters, Agnes, and Dorothy.
