Leuty Byars Dies At Age 74; Salem Funeral
Leuty Byars, 74, of the East Main Hotel in Salem, died at 4:40 p.m. Sunday in the Wutzler Nursing Home at Odin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Bowman-Hancock Funeral Home in Salem with the Rev. Charles Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in County Line cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Bowman Hancock Funeral Home where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. today.
Mr. Byars was born Oct. 18, 1888, in Kell, the son of William and Sarah (French) Byars.
He was married to Bertha Dalton, who preceded him in death in July, 1958.
