Born on Oct. 29, 1929, Jack was a son of the late Andrew Jackson "Andy" Arrington and Nannie Sutherland Arrington. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Page Thomas Arrington, three sisters, Betty Hawthorne, Leona McAmis and Buenos Cornett.
Jack was a resident of the Lodi Community in Washington County and was a "ole time" farmer and believed in the "ole time" way of doing things and especially his farm work with his mules.
Survivors include a daughter, Ava Warren and husband Jeff of the Lodi Community; two sons, Pride Arrington and wife Tracy and Jackson Arrington and wife Sandy, all of the Lodi Community; two brothers, Duard Arrington of Abingdon and Tom Arrington of the Lodi Community; two sisters, Rosie Dunn and Shirley Bordwine, both of Abingdon; a dear friend, Ms. Carrie Price of Damascus; three grandsons; and three granddaughters.
Casketbearers will be Jim Reid, Wayne Rector, Ralph Sullivan, Doug Cornett, Lee Arrington and Joe McConnell. Honorary casketbearers will be Earnest Copenhaver, June Copenhaver, C.B. Reece, Jess Overbay, Bud Price and Bill Trent.
