He came to the U.S.A. at the age of 14 and settled in Fillmore County, later moved to Olmsted County and for several years resided in Rochester.
He was married to Elizabeth Ubrig in 1884, to this union were born three children, two daughters and one son.
Mr. Wintz as a young man became a member of the church and was a member of the First Evangelical Church at the time of his death.
Surviving relatives are his widow, one son, Harry Harry, of Rochester, two daughters, Lela Dahllke of Rochester, and Mrs. Wm. Nichols of Lenard, Minnesota, one grand child, two brothers, Valentine of Saint Paul, and George, of Long Beach, California, and other relatives.
The funeral services were held from the First Evangelical Church Wednesday afternoon and interment was made at the Oakwood cemetery.

The remains of Henry Wintz were brought to Spring Valley from Rochester Wednesday for interment in the Ubrig lot in the Spring Valley cemetery. They were accompanied by Mrs. Henry Wintz, Mrs. Lelah Dahlke, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wintz and the undertaker, Mr. Earl Vine.
