LEBANON, Maine - Mallory J. Lunden, 64 of Lebanon, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012. Born on Sept. 18, 1948, he was a son of the late Sonny and Theresa (Beaudry) Lunden. Raised in Eliot, Maine, he attended local schools graduating from Marshwood High School with the Class of 1967.

Mallory served his country as a member of the United States Air Force working as a Police K-9 handler and trainer for a number of years. Following his service to his country he settled in Kittery, Maine, and founded Designs By Lunden working for many years serving the Seacoast and beyond. He retired in 1992.

In 1994, he married his loving wife, Carolyn (Capone) Lunden, and together they lived for a time in Portsmouth before settling for the last nearly 16 years in Lebanon, Maine. Mal was a godly man who in his early years enjoyed the out of doors, hunting and especially bird watching.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, and a son, Aiden Lunden, both of Lebanon, Maine, a son, Dennis Lunden, of Kensington, a brother, Mitchell, and his wife, Diane, and sister, Deanna (Bell), and her husband, Mike Walsh, as well as his grandchildren, Zachary and Olivia, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Mallory is preceded by his brother Ron Lunden of Connecticut.

A funeral for Mallory will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at noon in the JS Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, Maine 03904. Friends may visit with his family from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Program online or by mail at PO BOX 758517 Topeka, KS 66675. Care for the Lunden family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey Funeral Home.
