LINCOLN – Frances (Jordan) Savage, 80, wife of the late Dennis Savage, died Nov 29, 2004, at a Lincoln hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 15, 1924, in Mattawamkeag, the daughter of Eugene and Mildred (Bowley) Jordan. Frances worked as a cook at Workman Hospital in Lincoln for many years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, beano and cooking. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 77 for 24 years. She is survived by nine children, Arlene and Burt Deshane of Lee, Judy St. Germaine of Howland, Darrell Savage and Brenda Hobbs of Lincoln, Charles Savage and Sue Weston of Lincoln, Beverly and Chuck Gerrish of Lincoln, Denise and John Richards of Mattawamkeag, Mary and Jeff McDaniel of Holly Hill, Fla., Peggy Savage and Bruce Walters of West Enfield, and Timothy and Tanya Savage of Chester; a sister, Mary Waite of Windham; 33 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many devoted friends. In addition to her husband, Dennis, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Lisa Marie Savage; and a grandson, Danforth Michaud Jr. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Timothy Shaw officiating. Interment will be in South Chester Cemetery. There will be a gathering at the American Legion Hall after the committal service. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Heart Association, Spina Bifida Foundation or the Diabetes Foundation. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
