BERNADINE DORN
Bernadine Dorn, 79, formerly of route 2, Kiel, died Sunday at Calumet Homestead in New Holstein, where she had lived for 15 years.
The former Bernadine Walsdorf was born May 11, 1903, in the Town of New Holstein, a daughter of Nicholas and Elizabeth Frankmann Walsdorf. She attended St. Ann Catholic School, St. Anna. On April 10, 1928, she married Peter Dorn Sr. at St. Ann Catholic Church at St. Anna. The couple farmed in the Town of New Holstein until retiring in 1963. Mr. Dorn died in 1968. Mrs. Dorn was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel, the Christian Mothers Society and the Catholic Knights.
Surviving are five daughter, Sister Lucy of West Point, Neb., Sister Marie Bernadette of Santa Barbara, Calif., Mrs. Wayne (Bernadette) Engleman of Trumbull, Conn., Mrs. Peter (Jane) Salm of Champaign, Ill., and Patricia Dorn of Sheboygan; three sons, Peter or rural New Holstein, James of rural Elkhart Lake, and Patrick of Detroit, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild.
Also surviving are two brothers, Leo Walsdorf of Kiel and Vincent Walsdorf of the Town of New Holstein. A daughter and a granddaughter preceded her in death.
The funeral Mass will be at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel. The Rev. Frederick Dorn and the Rev. Francis Kerscher, pastor, will be co-celebrants. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
