Jeff Sharp of Edmond, Okla. passed away Saturday Jan. 7, 2012. Jeff was born in Waterloo, Iowa, July 18, 1953 to Elaine Bidwell Sharp and Charles W. Sharp.

Jeff moved to Oklahoma after graduating high school in Iowa in 1971. He began working for Southwestern Bell in 1973 and retired in 2003.

We will miss his laugh, his sense of humor, and the twinkle in his eye. Jeff was always the big kid with his love of toys. He loved to laugh and we could always count on him to be the prankster. He enjoyed camping, working with stained glass and spending time with friends and family, catching up on old times. Jeff also had a special love of animals.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Lindsey Ellen Sharp.

Jeff is survived by his sister Lucy Greenfield and husband, Kyle of Edmond, brothers Chip Sharp and wife Sandy of Broomfield, Colo., and Mike Sharp of West Des Moines, Iowa, and dear friend Garry Timmons. Jeff is also survived by his nephews whom he adored: Jeffrey Trotter and his wife Emily of Oklahoma City, Nicholas Trotter of Oklahoma City, Zachary Sharp and Jacob Sharp and great-nephew Londyn Sharp of Broomfield, Colo.; aunt and uncle, Nancy and Sheridan Marquardt and cousins Danny Marquardt, Julie Marquardt and Laurie Sterling of Oklahoma City, and cousin Carolyn Sharp Kelly of Rockford, Ill.

There will be a private burial in Edmond.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the ASPCA-(800) 628-0028 or OKC Humane Society (405) 607-8991 in Jeff's memory.
