SALISBURY - Denver "Danny" Rayvon Burchette, age 91, of Salisbury, went to be with his heavenly father Saturday, April 17, 2010, at W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury.
Mr. Burchette was born Feb. 9, 1919, in Wilkes County, a son of the late Rhoda Combs Burchette and Roby M. Burchette.
He attended Rowan County schools and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. Danny worked in the textile industry and was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Mary Burchette, on July 16, 2004; brothers J.B., Dewey, Junior and Charlie Burchette; and sisters Bernice Walton, Marie Rogers and Dean Burchette.
