GOWRIE - Dolores Mae Hasty, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Tompkins Health Center, Ft. Dodge. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at the United Methodist Church, Gowrie with Pastor Jane Shepherd, officiating. Burial will be in the Gowrie Township Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Thursday (today) at the Palmer Funeral Home in Gowrie. Memorials may be left at the family's discretion.

Survivors include her sons, Dan Hasty and his wife Leslie, of Cherokee and Rob Hasty and his wife Kate, of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren, Curt Hasty, Nick Hasty, Jordan Casas, Jason Crocker, Tom Crocker, and Jerry Crocker; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Suer of McKinney, TX and Cheryl Kearney of Coalville and nine nieces. Preceding her in death is her parents, Dan and Ruth (Jordison) Gaffey, husband Frank J. Hasty, and brother Edwin Gaffey.

Dolores Mae Gaffey was born on August 16, 1929 at Coalville, Iowa and graduated from Ft. Dodge Senior High School in 1947. She was united in marriage with Frank J. Hasty on October 17, 1950. They operated Hasty's Caf in Gowrie until 1978. Dolores was employed at Casey's in Gowrie before retiring. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Gowrie where she belonged to Joy Circle. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Dolores enjoyed traveling, playing cards with friends, and spending time with her family.
