A Casey County native, she was born Dec. 3, 1919, daughter of the late William Jackson and Mary Williams Stephens. She was a homemaker and member of Bradley's Pleasure Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy (and Bill) White, Somerset, and Sharon Barnes, Georgetown; her stepmother, Novella Stephens, Windsor; six brothers, Fred and Rollin Stephens, Norwood, Ohio, Ray Stephens, Virginia Beach, Va., Roger Stephens, Russell Springs, Jerry Stephens, Cleveland, and Terry Stephens, Windsor; five sisters, Virginia Bellew, Joanne Tucker and Norma Mason, all of Cincinnati, Barbara Younger, Louisville, and Christine Coffey, Buford, Ga.; three grandchildren, Johnathon (and Amy) Barnes, Richmond, Patrick (and Allyson) White, Centreville, Va., and Jennifer (and Scott) Wells, Georgetown; and three great-granddaughters, Taylor, Amelia and Mary Ann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvis Garner, whom she married Dec. 27, 1939, and who died in April 1972; her parents; two sons, Rodney and Phillip Garner; a son-in-law, Roddy Barnes; and a grandson, Jonathan Garner White.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. today at Bradley's Pleasure Baptist Church with Bro. S.L. Sears officiating.
Burial will be in Bradley's Pleasure Cemetery.
Friends may call at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home from 8 until 10 a.m. today and at the church from noon until time for services.
