Sylvia H. Scronce VALE - Sylvia Hoyle Scronce, 68, of Vale, died Monday, June 8, 2009, at her residence. She was born July 17, 1940, in Catawba County, a daughter of the late Ambrose Claude Hoyle and Annie Mae Elmore Hoyle. Mrs. Scronce was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Scronce; sisters, Willie Kale and Carolyn Burns; and brothers, Howard "Pete" Hoyle, Glenn Hoyle and Billy Hoyle. She is survived by daughters, Tonya Henneforth and husband, Harold, of Taylorsville, Kelly Mitchell and Roy Collins and Jennifer Sain and Michael Sain, all of Vale, and Kimberly Kidd and Calvin Pearson, Cherri Scronce and Tushi Scronce and John Gardner, all of Hickory; sons, Randy Scronce, Tommy Scronce and Danny Scronce, all of Vale; sisters, Betty Robinson of Newton, Ruth Black of Lincolnton and Gail Scronce of Hickory; brother, Danny Hoyle of Newton; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and special family members, Kristy "Sunshine" Fyfe, Pam Robinson and Rhonda Terry. A service of remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, in the chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The CJD Foundation, P.O. Box 5312, Akron, Ohio 44334.
