Gail Hoyle Scronce, 64, of Newton, passed away Thursday April 14, 2011 at Pallatiative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley.

Born December 23, 1946 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Annie Mae Elmore Hoyle.

Mrs. Scronce worked as a seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Lee Scronce; three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include sons, Michael Shane Scronce, Rusty Scronce and wife, Sarah, all of Newton; daughters, Teresa Parker, Debbie Goble and husband, Kevin, and Angie Burghardt all of Maiden; brother, Danny Hoyle of Newton; sisters, Betty Robinson of Newton and Ruth Black of Lincolnton;
ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
