PORTLAND, Ind. - Russell L. Luttman, 74, of Ben Hawkins St., father of Mrs. Mahlon (Esther) Byrd of 360 Center St., Xenia, died Monday at 11 p.m. at Bluffton Clinic Hospital, Bluffton, Ind., where he had been a patient since April 18.
Born June 7, 1893, in Wabash, of Jacob and Amanda Haley Luttman, he was first married to Mable Shumaker, who died Aug. 9, 1931, and then to Hazel Stroud, who died Feb. 20, 1963.
Survivors also include a son, a daughter, two stepsons, one stepdaughter, 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchilden.
Services will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home here with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Portland. Friends may call at the funeral home after Wednesday noon.
