Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, December 13th at the United Methodist Church in Turtle Lake with Pastor Peder Anderson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Turtle Lake Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church.
Ruby was born April 23, 1915 in Kensal, ND to Hugo & Ida (Anderson) Forsberg. As a child she lived along with her family in several communities in North Dakota.
In 1934, she moved to California and enrolled in the Harbell Beauty College. She worked in California for two years before returning to North Dakota in 1937.
Ruby married Leonard C. Hanson on September 19, 1937 in Lisbon, ND. They made their home in Turtle Lake for many years.
Ruby was an active member of the United Methodist Church and U.M.W. group. She was a past member of the Pioneer Daughters, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Turtle Lake Band Boosters. Ruby was also once involved with the Brownies group of the local Girl Scouts. She enjoyed reading and watching sports on television.
Ruby is survived by one son, Douglas (Karin) Hanson of Turtle Lake; two granddaughters, Karna (Shannon) Johnson and Corinna Hanson, both of Fargo; one grandson, Charles (Virginia) Hanson of Pierre, SD; great-grandsons, Matthew (Amanda) Johnson, Ian Johnson, & Alex Johnson; great-granddaughters, Paige Hanson, Hailey Hanson, & Hannah Hanson; great-great granddaughters, McKenna Reiser & Wren Johnson; and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband (Leonard), two brothers (Carl & Henry), & three sisters (Anne, Florence, & Evelyn).
