Found in The State 23 March 1990: Mrs. Connie C. Drose, 82, of 430 White Avenue, West Columbia, died Wednesday. Born in Orangeburg, she was a daughter of the late Ed and Melvinia McMichael Cherry. She was a member of Christian Life Assembly. Surviving are her niece, Mrs. Janet Godfrey of West Columbia; and her sister, Mrs. Gussie Smoak of Orangeburg. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Olympia Cemetery.
