Memorial service for Gerald "Jerry" Randell was December 15, 2012 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with J.J. Tune officiating.

Mr. Randell was born March 17, 1937 in Wardell to Walter and Nettie (Clayton) Randell. Mr. Randell died December 9, 2012 in Salem at the age of 75 years.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Randell, Salem; children, grandchildren, sisters, Jeanette Pfau and husband, Richard, Belleville, Ill.; and Janice Hill, Hazelwood; sister-in-law, Mary Snyder and friend, Jim H; family friend, Jim R; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and son, Jim.

Mr. Randell was a longtime Salem businessman who owned and operated Mooney Auto Supply for many years. He had served the community as a member of the Salem Chamber of Commerce; Salem Board of Alderman; Dent County Fair Board; Dent County Fire District as board member and dispatcher; and Northwood R-4 School Board. He served in the United States Air Force as a nuclear weapons specialist. He was a member of the Salem Christian Church.
