Eva I. Roohr, age 90, of Marshfield, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Golden Living Center- Three Oaks in Marshfield.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at North Ridge Church in Marshfield. The Rev. Brian Worthing will officiate. Burial will be held in Brooklawn Memory Gardens, town of Richfield. A time of visitation will be held from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday, December 10 at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Pkwy.) in Marshfield and from 10:00 AM until time of services Tuesday at the church.

Eva was born Dec 9, 1921 in the town of Goodrich, WI to parents Herman and Viola (Rinehart) Moder. She was married to Melvin Jacob Roohr on May 28, 1946 in Athens, WI and they went to live in Pittsville, WI. In 1948 she gave birth to her only child Ruby.

In 1956 the family moved to Marshfield where she provided child care until going to work at St. Joseph Hospital in 1959 as a wonderful caring nurse's aide. She retired from St. Joseph Hospital in December of 1984. After the death of her husband she went to live with her daughter until the time of her death.

She was very active in her church, the Assembly of God (now North Ridge). She was the Secretary / Treasurer for 14 years, a Sunday school teacher for 30 years, and a very faithful prayer warrior all of her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruby (Michael) Werner, and 2 grandchildren Melvin Werner and Martha Werner. She is further survived by her half sister, Esther Steponik, several nieces and nephews, and special friends Joel and Stephanie Finamore and their sons Joshua and Samuel. She will be sadly missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, half brother, and half brother-in-law, Frank Steponik.
