Mena Margaret Johnson Scallorn, 92, of Sardis, died Monday, February 4, 2002, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center of lung disease.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 7, at 10:30 AM at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Charles Lipe officiated the service. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery in Sardis. Moore Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Scallorn, daughter of the late W. C. and Maggie Flynn Johnson, was born October 9, 1909, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a retired employee in the meat department at Big Star, and a member of Hebron Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late Bryant Scallorn.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty S. Hill of Batesville; a son, Joe Scallorn of Sardis; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and eight great, great-grandchildren.
