Idabelle Teasel, 80, of Port Clinton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, in Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton.

Idabelle was born on July 10, 1932 in Chicago, the daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Loewe) McLeod. She married Maxwell Teasel and he preceded her in death in 1986.

Idabelle was a graduate of Blackburn College in Carlinville, Ill., and was a former elementary teacher at Kelleys Island School and Furry Elementary. She was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church, Sandusky, and was the church secretary for many years. Idabelle was an active volunteer for the Erie County Historical Society, H.B. Magruder Hospital Auxiliary, VFW Post in Sandusky, and the Ottawa County Republican Women's Committee. Idabelle will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Fandrich (John Brady) of Port Clinton; grandchildren, Christopher Fandrich and Aaron Fandrich; and her loving dog, Hershey. Idabelle was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, and from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Grace Episcopal Church, 315 Wayne St., Sandusky. A Memorial service will be follow at 2 p.m. at the church.

Memorial donations in memory of Idabelle may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
