William Horace Jenkins

Funeral services for Horace Jenkins, an Amarillo native since 1965, who died at 11 p.m. Sunday in Golden Spread Convalescent Home, will be at 10:30 a.m. today in N.S. Griggs & Sons Pioneer Chapel.

Officiating will be the Rev. Frank Ferrell, pastor of the Pleasant Valley Christian Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Jenkins, of 4623 Brown Drive, was born in Prairie Point, and lived in the Fritch area in the 1930s. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Jenkins retired as a foreman for Pioneer Natural Gas Co., in 1963 after 42 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Nina; two sisters, Mrs. Manson Jones of Gallup, N.M., and Mrs. W.H. Craig of Miami; two brothers, Carl Jenkins of Amarillo and Clyde of Denton.
