She was born March 3, 1903 in Tracy City, TN which is "up the mountain" from Chattanooga. The only girl & the youngest in the family, she had 3 older brothers. She had a variety of friends but did enjoy the lifestyle of the "well off". Among her friends were the daughters of the town doctor. When she was in her early 20's, she went to live with her brother, Harvey, in Lake Worth, FL. She was a member of the Theta Chi Chi Sorority & had a scrapbook filled with articles from the newspaper Society Page about functions she attended & parties she hosted. Some of her good friends went on to be prominent Judges. Sometime about 1928, she went to New York City with a friend. It was during this time she met Harold. They were married, went back to Lake Worth & then moved to Miami where they raised their two sons. "Jackie" as Harold called her, was a great hostess. After their sons married, they would come for a family dinner, & she always set a beautiful table. Christmas was especially memorable. Contributed by Mrs H B (Gail) Pearson, Jr (daughter-in-law).
Cause of Death: Cerebral Arterial Degeneration/Alzheimers. She died at age 79.
