Linda Boykin, 76, Velma Drive, died at 6:15 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2012, at her home following a long illness.

A native of Wedgefield, S.C., she was born Oct. 20, 1935, the daughter of the late Robert O'Neal Hair and Mary Louise Beaty.

She was a retired manager from Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts.
She was a member of Crofton Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Boykin, Colorado Springs, Colo., Howard Boykin, Nashville, Tenn., and Richard Boykin, Trenton, S.C.; two daughters, Diane Benjamins and Laura Boykin Pelletier Peters, both of Hopkinsville; a sister, Catharine Louise Poly, Salem, Ohio; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie C. Boykin, in 2005.

Visitation was Sunday at Lamb Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Lamb Funeral Home with Steve Allen officiating.

Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West.
