Marjorie Ann Benoit, 85, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. Interment: 1:15 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday with rosary at 7 p.m. in Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Marjorie was born in Topeka, Kan., on July 2, 1927, to Walter Harrison and Minnie Baker. She was one of 10 children. She met Joseph Benoit who was stationed at Forbes Air Force Base during World War II. They were married Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 1946, in Topeka. She enjoyed sewing, reading, crossword puzzles, crafting and trivia. Marjorie was preceded in death by her son, Gary Benoit. Survivors: Husband of 66 years, Joseph Benoit; children, Jan Womble and husband, Jerrell, Joann Burnum and husband, Denny, Colette Cherry and husband, Steven, Kyle Benoit, Amy Watson and husband, Rennie; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Marian Bednasek and husband, Kenneth, of Topeka.
