LANE, Willard Nearl age 59, of Middletown, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County. He was born January 4, 1951 in Middletown, OH to Willard Jesse and Donna Louise (Kemp) Lane. He served our country in the US Marines during the Vietnam War with an honorable discharge. He was employed at AK Steel for 35 years, retiring in 2006; Atrium Medical Center in 2009; Monroe Local Schools in 2010. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1969. He enjoyed his "little peace of heaven" mowing and sitting under the pavilion with his "Bubby" watching the deer and turkey. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son and Bubby and looked forward to taking his grandson this fall and winter. He is preceded in death by his father, half-brother, Bobby Sams, brother-in-law, Russell Lamb. Willard is survived by his wife, Pamela Lane of 19 years; mother, Donna Lane of Lebanon; son, Gregory (Alecia) Lane of Middletown; daughter, Jennifer Lane of Middletown; step-daughters, Barbie (Brandon) Hudson of Hamilton, Teresa (Garven) Toms of Monroe, Rebecca Riley of Middletown; grandson, Evan Lane; step-grandchildren, Garven, Garrison, Keegan, Garrett, Connor, Tia, Amberly, Christina, Sommer, Megan; 3 step-great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Lamb of Cuba, OH; half-sisters, Ella Mae Rose of Franklin, Patty Smith of FL; brother, Mike (Jackie) Lane of Middletown; special nephew, Mikie Joe Lane and numerous other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, October 11, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Princeton Pike Church of God another visitation will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 11:00-12:00 PM at the church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 12:00 PM at the church with Pastor Ron Medley and Rev. Bill Lamb officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
