Ethel M. Fields, 88, of Richlands,
died March 24 at her home following
a lengthy illness.
Born in Russell County, she was
a daughter of the late Martin and
Jane Hess Helton, both Russell
County natives.
She had made her home in the
Richlands and Cedar Bluff areas
most of her life and attended the
Church of God of Prophecy.
In addition to her parents, she
was preceded in death by her husband.
Ernest Fields; daughters.
Bessie Rose and Altie Talbert: one
son, Ernest Fields Jr.; 18 sisters
and brothers; and four grandchildren.
Survivors: daughters. Marie
Haywood Steele and Barbara
Johnson, both of Richlands: son.
Harvey Fields of Bristol: sister.
Goldla Sword of New Carlisle. OH:
31 grandchildren: 39 great-grandchildren:
and three great-greatgrandchildren

The funeral was conducted
March 27 at 2 p.m. at the Hurst-
Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands
with Rev. Eugene Harold and Rev.
Dennis MacLemore officiating.
Interment followed in Greenhills,
Memory Gardens at Claypool HiLL
