Mrs. Jacobs, mother of Mrs. John Lorshbaugh, who is matron at Bellevue, died on Wednesday December 8, 1897 there.
Mrs. Matilda Jacobs was aged 87 years. She was born near Double Pipe Creek, in Carroll County. Her Maiden name was Delaplaine. Her husband had been dead some years. Mrs. Andrew Earhart, this city, is a sister of the deceased. Her remains were taken to the home of her stepdaughter, Mrs. McClain, living on Madison Avenue from where the funeral will take place Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, services by Rev. H.W. Cross.
