Joyce Lee (Marek) Sparks, passed away April 27, 2010.

Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. today, April 30, 2010 at Heritage Funeral Home of Memory Gardens, with the Rev. Amy Danchik officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family received visitors 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 26 at Heritage Funeral Home of Memory Gardens.

She was born Aug. 9, 1929 in Hallettsville to the late Victor and Freida (Klitsch) Marek. Mrs. Sparks was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin Sparks; brother, Joe Bill Marek; and sister, Beatrice Gloor.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Denise Sparks; daughter and son-in-law, Lola and Edd Trautwein; sisters, Margie Kelton, Marcelle Cochrum, and Rose Marie Shelton; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Clint Sparks, Scott Sparks, Lane Trautwein, Brandon Cauble, Bruce Ryan, Mark Ryan; and honorary pallbearer, Phillip Sparks.

Arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Memory Gardens - Patsy Conley, arranging director, 361-578-3611.
