Early Life: Blue was born May 29, 1940, in Paris, Illinois, to Wilbert Louis "Wib" and Marjorie Evelyn "Margie" Gale Sanders.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: As a young man, he fell in love with the Rocky Mountains, bringing him to Montana. Blue was an avid outdoorsman who lived his life to the fullest. He loved hunting, fishing, shooting and hiking. He was a gun maker who hunted buffalo and had a passion for black powder rifles, the fur trade and rendezvous. Many people love him and deeply valued his stories and friendship. Phillip Lee "Blue" Sanders, of Missoula, Montana, passed away peacefully Monday, December 3, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. He was 72.
Family Message: "Blue will be sorely missed by many. We will honor his life..."
Survived By: His mother; three brothers: Larry, Jimmie and Danny; daughter and husband, Josey and Marc Wise; son and wife, Branch and Jennifer Martin; son, Clinton Martin; son, Drummer Sanders; grandchildren: Sid, Keigen, Caden, Ryley, Branch, Saylor and Carson.
Preceded In Death By: His father; sister, Ann; and brother, Rick.
