Paul Turner Collins, 72, passed away of congestive heart failure, at the Citrus Valley Hospice, West Covina, CA., on Wednesday night, December 05,2012.
He was born, October 19,1940, in Winona, Montgomery County, Mississippi, son of Lay Turner Collins and Flora Mae Kite-Collins.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Marie Stewart-Collins, and his parents. He is survived by three children; Wendy J. Skeldon, Covina, CA.; Randy S. (Sandra) Collins, Ontario, CA.; and Glen J. (Laura) Collins, Azusa, CA.; nine grandchildren; Emerald (Albert) Ramirez, James Cox, Nancy Tarleton, Max Collins, Taylor Collins, Steven Collins, Paul A. Collins, Tabitha Collins, and Violet Collins; and six step-grandchildren, Dorian and Marc Rojas, Lorraine, Daniel, Andrew and Anthony Arteaga. Two sisters, Martha Nell Stewart, Upland, CA.; and Mary Frances "Fran" Musick-Taft, Fontana, CA. Three nieces; Stephanie L. Rollins, Robin G. Hernandez, Kristin M. Skinner; and a nephew Keith R. Stewart.
Paul was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. His hobbies were fishing; gardening; playing the guitar and banjo. He was an avid gun collector and gunsmith. He was a Baptist; and loved quoting Bible verses. Paul lived in Los Angeles County, California, for over fifty years. Cremation by the Omega Society. No memorial service has been held at this time. He will forever be in our hearts.
