Florence E. Brandon, age 90, of Clare, passed away on August 15, 1998, at Tendercare of Clare.
She was born on Feb. 26,1908, at Summit Station, Ohio, the daughter of Nelson H. and Maude E. (Puffer) Palmer. She married Clyde A. Brandon in Oct. 1926, in Logan, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1984.
Surviving are four sons, Dale A. and Jan of Clare, Keith E. and Ethel of DeWitt, Dean and Elizabeth of Grand Ledge, and Daniel E. and Donna of Lake; one daughter, Bonnie Jean and Rodney Reed of Manitou Springs, CO; one sister, Cecil Huston of Lancaster, OH; one brother, Robert Palmer of Junction City, OH; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one granddaughter, Marjorie Bobier; six brothers, Nelson, Warren, Ronald, Walter, James and Charles; and three sisters, Phoebie, Zelma and Thora.
Funeral services were held on August 18 from Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home, Clare, with Rev. Paul C. Fetzer officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. (The Clare Sentinel, p. 9 - Clare, MI -18 August 1998)
