Virginia Chittum Clark, 80, of Buena Vista died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Buena Vista.

She was born April 12, 1932, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of Charles Edward Chittum and Nannie Tyler Chittum. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph E. Chittum and Leonard Chittum; and one sister, Mary Thorneburg.

Mrs. Clark was a member of the Lexington Foursquare Church.

Surviving are one son, Roger Lee Roberts; one daughter, Betty Jane Plogger Thomas; two brothers, Charles H. Chittum of Gloucester and Ronnie L. Chittum of Fairfield; three sisters, Ethel Louise Hansbrough and Nancy Lee Hall, both of Lexington, and Brenda Barlow of Buena Vista; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Green Hill Cemetery with the Pastor Hunter Phillips officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Buena Vista Rescue Squad or to the Lexington Foursquare Church c/o Pastor Phillips.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
