She died Friday, December 26, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 84 years, six months, and seven days. She was a homemaker and member of Pine Top Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Duel Roy; a son, Steven Roy; 2 brothers, Wayne Roy, Phillip Roy and a sister, Christine Roy. Survivors include the following: Five children: Roger (Diana) Roy, Stanford, KY; Lana Brown, Russell Springs, KY; Paulette (Jeff) Acre, Russell Springs, KY; Kathy (Dwight) Gossage, Russell Springs, KY; and Anthony (Sherry) Roy, Bowling Green, KY. Nine grandchildren. Eighteen grandchildren. Four great great grandchildren.
Graveside service for Claris Delaine Roy will be at 1pm CT, Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Union Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery. Special music by Robin Riddle, and Janice Popplewell. There will be no visitation.
