Graveside services with Military Honors will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at the Emmett Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.
John was born Sept. 30, 1916 at White Signal, New Mexico, to Augustine and Margaret (Pierce) Bednorz. He grew up in New Mexico and was married to Millie Turner before being drafted in the Army.
He served during WWII and in 1949 he moved his family to Idaho. They lived in the Sweet area and later in Emmett where he worked at and retired from the Mill.
Survivors include a son, John M. (Orista) Bednorz, of Council; a daughter, Carolyn Wardle, of Boise; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Millie; parents; three sisters and a brother.
