LEXINGTON - Irene McManama Wilhelm, 81, died August 17, 1990, in a Lexington hospital. She was born in Buena Vista, June 1, 1909, the daughter of the late John and Cora Chittum McManama and the widow of Luther F. Wilhelm.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Southers, Waynesboro; Mrs. Myrtle Heater, Frederick, MD; Mrs. Betty Clark, Glasgow; Miss Audrey Wilhelm, Lexington; two sons, Lawrence Wilhelm, Stuarts Draft; Aaron "Sonny" Wilhelm, Buena Vista; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Southers, Natural Bridge; one brother, Alfred McManama, Lexington; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Church of God of Prophecy. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
