Born about 1775. Married first Jean King in 1809 in Blount Co., TN and they had one child, John Worsham b 1810 and second married Mary Sample "Polly" Alexander on 08 Feb 1812 in Livingston Co., Kentucky.


Jeremiah was a Private in the 2nd Regt. Thomas' Georgia Militia in the War of 1812.

PROBATE COURT, Special Term, Dec. 15, 1857.


THIS day came J. B. Worsham and W. N. Worsham, Administrators of the Estate of Jeremiah Worsham, deceased, and filed their petition to sell certain land therein described, belinging to said deceased, to-wit: The east half of southeast quarter of section 2, in township 8 north of range 4 west. The west half of the south west quarter of sec.1 in township 8 north of range 4 west. Also, a lot in east half of section 1 township 8 north of range 1, in the District of Lands subject to sale at St. Stephens, Ala., containing 169 82 100 acres, alleging that the same cannot be equitably divided amongst the heirs of said Estate with out a sale thereof.


Whereupon the Court set the 2d Monday in February next for hearing such petition, and appointed John W. Simons, Esq., guardian ad litem to represent the minor heirs of said Estate: and it is ordered that notice be given to Mary Worsham, Sarah Simpson, John P. Simpson, Jere Worsham and William N. Wortham of Washington county; William McCary and his wife Mary McCary, Daniel Williamson and his wife Tilitha Williamson, Pleasant Gilbert, Elizabeth Gilbert of Choctaw county, by citation; and to John Worsham and James Worsham, whose residence is unknown, by three successive weekly publications in the Clarke County Democrat, a newspaper published in Clarke county, Ala.
