William A. Crock Jr., 81, of South Middleton Twp., died Saturday in Cumberland County Nursing Home.

He was retired from Air Freight Way Co. and a member of Second Presbyterian Church and Royal Palm Lodge 100 F&AM, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a graduate of Temple University.

Surviving are his wife, Frances Wolf Crock; a son, William III of Baltimore; a daughter, Pamela Hendrickson of Middletown, Del.; and three grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle.

Visitation will follow services.

Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.

Memorial services for William A. Crock Jr., 81, of South Middleton Township, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.

He died Saturday, July 12, 1997, in the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Cumberland County, Middlesex Township.

Born Feb. 5, 1916 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late William and Venie McGirr Crock Sr.

Mr. Crock was a retired employee of the former Air Freight Way Co. of Philadelphia.

He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church of Carlisle, and Royal Palm Lodge 100 F&AM of Homestead, Fla.

A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he also was a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Frances Wolf Crock; one son, William A. III of Baltimore, Md.; one daughter, Pamela Hendrickson of Middletown, Del.; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Parsons of Towanda.

The Rev. John L. Larson will officiate at Thursday's service. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
