Member of Local 1066. Preceded in death by wife, Helen and Son, Cosmas E. Smith, Jr. Survived by: 1 Daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Mary Jo) Knight of Merrillville; 1 Daughter-in-law, Barbara Smith of Merrillville; 6 grandchildren, Thomas Smith, Martin Smith and Joe Smith, Amy Smith, Dawn Knight and Michael Knight all of Merrillville; 3 sisters, Mrs. Margaret Palladino of New York, Rosemary O'Connor and Elenore Hopkins both of Loogootee, Indiana; 6 Brothers, Hugh Smith of Loogootee, Francis Smith of Washington, Indiana, Edmond Smith of Loogootee, Bernard Smith of Redford, Michigan, J. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 31st, 9:30 a.m. from Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation Church, Rev. Louis B. Wozniak officiating. Burial, Calumet Park Cemetery. Rosary Wednesday at 7 p.m.. Friends may call 2-9 p.m. Wednesday.
