Mrs. Nick Cammers, whose health has not been good the past three years, although she was able to be up and about much of the time, passed away early Sunday morning at her home on North Central avenue, heart disease being the cause of death.
She was born at Two Rivers, Wis, 66 years ago and became the wife of her surviving husband in the same city. Twenty years ago the family moved to Unity, living there until they came to this city, 12 years ago. Besides her husband she is survived by four sons, six daughters, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
The sons and daughters are William, Atwood, Wis,; Nick, Polson, Montana; Fred, Cabool, Missouri; Herbert, Marshfield; Mrs. Charles Ahrens, and Mrs. William Zeddies, Two Rivers; Mrs. Art and Mrs. Ben Pipcorn, Riplinger, Miss Esther Cammers, Wausau; and Mrs. John Wettestead, Marshfield.
She was a woman of many noble qualities and had many friends who will miss her keenly.
The funeral of Mrs. Nick Cammers was held from her late home on North Central Avenue at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon and was one of the largest held in the city in a long time. Rev. Jordan conducted the service. In his remarks he paid a high deserving tribute to her memory. Mrs. Cammers was the mother of 16 children, ten of whom are living and all were present at the funeral, also three sisters and three brothers who are Mrs. L. Kutler of Oshkosh, Mrs. Charles Miller of Michicott, Wis. Mrs. Fred Thuss of Marshfield, Fred Fischer of Milwaukee and Charles and Henry Fischer of Two Rivers.
The out of town people attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ahrens, Mrs. William Zeddies and Charles Fisher, Two Rivers; Mrs. Cyrus Fisher and Fred Fisher, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs Arthur Pipcorn and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Pipcorn, Unity; Fred Cammers, Cabool, MO; Nick Cammers, Polson, Montana; Joe Cammers , Spokeville.
