OGDEN---Alb Alexander, 82, died Friday, July 21, 2000 at his home of causes incident to age.

He was born March 19th, 1918 in Copper Cliff, Ontario Canada, a son of William S. and
Mable G. Turner Alexander.

In 1938, Albert married Velma Smith (now Velma Stout) in Ogden. They were later divorced.

On February 14, 1970, he married Alice Turner McFarland in Las Vegas, Nevada. Alice died August 18, 1983.

Alb married Marian Jensen on July 23, 1985 in Carson City, Nevada.

At the age of five, Alb moved to Ogden where he resided for the remainder of his life.

He was a member of the Episcopalian Church.

Alb was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Navy.

He worked at Defense Depot Ogden as a mechanic, and retired from Hill Air Force Base where he had been an item manager.

Alb enjoyed carpentry, wood-working,and fishing. He was member of the Elks Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Marian of Ogden; one son and one daughter, Roy E. (Yvonne) Alexander, Ogden; Lorie (Ernie) Hanson, Layton; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Alb is also survived by one brother and two sisters, John (Hazel) Alexander,
Ogden; Shirley Alexander, San Fernando, Calif.; Gladis Schwandeman, Salt Lake City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ray Albert twin brother of Roy); one sister, Bertha Duffin; and five brothers, Ernie, Art, Bill, Robert, and Lenny Alexander.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
