Obituary of WILLIAM F. L. HOLTKAMP
William F. L. Holtkamp, son of Rev. and Christine Telljohn Holtkamp, was born in Debois [Dubois] county, Indiana December 20, 1863, and passed away May 7, 1946 in Quincy, Ill, at the age of 82 years, four months and 17 days. He was married to Miss Frances Neeland in 1910. She preceded him in death. Mr. Holtkamp was a member of the Lutheran church and lived a good Christian life. Surviving are three half brothers, Francis of Elmwood, Gerhard of Mt. Sterling, Hilkia of Knowles, Okla., and two half-sisters, Mrs. Anna Swenson of Elvaston and Mrs. Friede Hill of Peoria; also a number of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock in the Meaders funeral home with Rev. I. W. Bingaman of Qincy in charge. Mrs. Henry Alford, Mrs. Harry Bowman and Mrs. Everett Sparks sang accompanied by Mrs. Robert Meaders. Pallbearers were: Henry Shank, Henry Alford, Harry Bowman, Floyd Wing, Harley Gabel and Arthur Sittler. Burial was in Beckman [Becam or Hippen] cemetery in Pea Ridge township.
