Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Englehart, 76, of Mifflinburg, RD1, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at her home following an illness of eight weeks resulting from a stroke.
A native and lifelong resident of Union County, she was born January 26, 1885, the daughter of the late Edward and Sarah Jane Zellers Aikey. She was married on Jan. 1, 1905, to John Englehart, who survives.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons; Galen L., Williamsport; William, at home; a daughter, Geraldine, at home; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; four brothers: John Aikey of Mifflinburg, RD2; Hugh Aikey, Mifflinburg; Aaron Aikey, Mifflinburg; and four sisters: Mrs. John Simonton, Mifflinburg, RD1; Mrs. Dewey Miller, Milton; Mrs. Francis Mull of Mifflinburg, RD1; and Mrs. James Shriner, Cowan.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the L. W. Strunk and Son funeral home, Mifflinburg, with Rev. Marlin R. Hain, pastor of Glen Iron Pilgrim Holiness Church, officiating. Burial was in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
