MUNFORDVILLE - Cassie Mildred Franklin Howard, 81, of Horse Cave died at 4:10 p.m. Feb. 23, 2006, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
The Metcalfe County native was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Glasgow. She was a daughter of the late Milburn Franklin and Glendora Breeding Franklin and the wife of the late James Hardin Howard. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral is at 1 p.m. Monday at Brooks Funeral Home, with burial in Oddfellow Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and begins at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include five daughters, Elder Dora Dice and her husband, the Rev. Bishop Allen Dice, and Carolyn Carter and her husband, the Rev. Kenny Carter, all of Horse Cave, Janice Bradley and her husband, Danny, and Janice Allen, all of Glasgow, and Wanda Murrell of Bowling Green; four sons, James E. Howard and his wife, Mayme, Charles W. Howard and his wife, Marion, and Eston L. Howard and his wife, Brenda Sue, all of Glasgow, and Ollie Franklin and his wife, Louise, of Hodgenville; a brother, James Franklin of Bowling Green; 32 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Mattie Austin of Cave City; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
