She was the former Marie Annette Darbonne. Mrs. Carriere had been ill for 3 1/2 years. Her body is at Lafond and Son Funeral Home. The rosary will he recited at 8 tonight at the funeral home. Service will be held at a high mass at 9:30 a. m. Thursday at St. Landry Catholic Church. Burial will be In the church cemetery.
Mrs. Carriere Is survived by two sons, Adam Carriere Jr. and John Carriere of Port Barre, and five daughters, Mrs. Moise Carriere, Mrs. Elmer Wyble, Mrs. Robert Robin and Mrs. Harris LeBlanc, ail of Port Barre, and Mrs. Newton Moreau of Arnaudville.
Also surviving are five step daughters, Mrs. Jack Hidalgo, Mrs. Leonce Richard, Mrs. B. C. Bihm and Mrs. C. V. Lahaye Sr. of Opelousas and Mrs. Willie Russell of Pontotoc, Miss.; two brothers, Wildon and Wilfred Darbonne of Port Barre; 49 grandchildren, and 47 grandchildren.
