"The Billings Times", Billings, MO., Thursday June 15, 1905 copied this story. The original story was carried in Ozark Democrat on June 9, 1905.

Suicide—Robert ELLINGSWORTH, a well known farmer living west of Highlandville committed suicide about one o'clock yesterday afternoon By shooting himself. Nothing could be learned as to the cause of the act. Mr. ELLINGSWORTH was about 65 years old and leaves a large family. Corner YOACHUM being out of the county, arrangements are being made as we go to press to have an inquest held by a justice of the peace Ozark Democrat, June 9th.

(Robert had previously been in a farming accident, and was crippled. It was assumed that the suicide was because he could no longer work his farm, this from a grandson that was at the farm when it happened. He had done this by sitting back up against a tree, and pushing the trigger of a rifle, with a stick, aimed at his head—Jim Cochran)
