Ripley, Ill -- Mrs. Arley Cecil Holtkamp, 88, a resident of the Myers convalescent and Skilled Nursing Center in Beardstown, formerly of rural Ripley, died at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday (Oct 15, 1986) at the nursing center.
Mrs. Holtkamp was born Jan. 18, 1898, in Exeter, a daughter of James and Anna May Gross Moke. She married John Leverton. He is decreased. She married Urbin Holtkamp April 25, 1950, in Mount Sterling. He survives.
Mrs. Holtkamp attended Scott County schools. She was a member of the Ripley Christian Church.
Also surviving are two sons, Raymond S. Leverton of Bartonville, and Clarence O. Leverton of East Peoria; a daughter, Mrs. Lela F. Logsdon of Rushville; several grandchildren and greeat-grandchildren.
Mrs. Holtkamp was preceded in death by a daughter, four brothers, four sisters, and a grandson.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mount Sterling.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Ripley Cemetery by the Rev. Tom Ross.
